Seafront splendour
“It was meant to be a forever home. So we had to get it right,” says Barve, who gave the interior a gold-and-glass avatar to match the sea.

In a bid to make the views and natural light a close neighbour, Barve introduced a mellow aesthetic, with marble floors, swish veneers and natural wood details.

Reoriented realms
“We demolished all the walls in an effort to start afresh,” says Barve, adding that the couple was keen to downsize in order to space up the master suite.

In the master bedroom, the sun inhabits every corner. “That’s why we chose to pare it back, so the sun would be the hero,” says Barve.

Something for everyone
Ahmed’s room, on the other hand, is a playful haven dominated by monochrome. The bed sits low, providing a welcome surface for him and his friends to lounge and play games.
