Rooted in its environment and inspired by centuries-old craft traditions, The Oberoi Vindhyavilas feels less like a hotel and more like a story unfolding—one shaped by the rustle of sal forests, tribal artistry, and the deep reverence for nature. Nestled just minutes from the gates of Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh, the 21-acre resort reimagines the Indian safari through a lens of quiet elegance, intuitive hospitality, and immersive cultural storytelling.

Design motifs inspired by local art and crafts

The resort features 19 luxury tents and two private pool villas, each designed to blend the rustic charm of the wild with Oberoi’s signature refinement. Its entrance, marked by a hand-carved wooden door crafted by Gond artisans, sets the tone for a sanctuary where style, soul, and sustainability converge. The interiors are adorned with Gond art, tribal-inspired accents, and nature-evoking details, such as hand-painted panels by Bandhavgarh artist Rakesh Prajapati. Each tent opens to a floating deck and garden, where frangipani trees, kachnar blooms, and birdsongs awaken the senses.

Culinary offerings at the property

At the heart of the experience is a distinct culinary journey. Executive Chef Sachin Kumar, trained with the Royal Kitchen of Nagod, offers menus that spotlight the bold flavours and heirloom recipes of Central India, complemented by global favourites from a wood-fired oven. Guests can dine across evocative settings—think high tea beneath a mango canopy to magical lakeside dinners under the stars at The Bush Kitchen.

This resort is about far more than its aesthetics and food—it is a gateway to meaningful experiences. On offer are guided safaris with expert naturalists that promise thrilling wildlife encounters, and you can expect to spot everything from Bengal tigers to rare birds. Back at the resort, guests can connect with the cultural aspects of the region through curated village walks, performances, and interactions with master Gond artists.

With its soon-to-open spa promising nature-inspired therapies and outdoor wellness rituals, The Oberoi Vindhyavilas is looking to set a new benchmark in luxury hospitality, where every moment is steeped in authenticity, serenity, and the untamed beauty of the land. It invites guests to appreciate the outdoors while they immerse themselves in the art and culture of the region.
